Dear Veydt Family,
When I was very young I remember playing my clarinet with Alex during evening church services at Cecil Alliance Church. He continued his clarinet throughout his lifetime. My husband, Paul, remembers sharing baseball stories with him and having a nice time on a church trip to Ohiopyle. Alex loved the Lord and will be greatly missed.

Dear Veydts,
As a young Christian Alex was a great role model for me and like a second Dad for the short time I was there in Cecil. He had a heart for people and I often use a line I learned from him - we were driving and saw someone who was dirty and disheveled and someone in the car made a comment which Alex responded to with "He's just another person from whom Christ died." That was a huge challenge to me, to look at people as Christ does and it has stuck with me all these years.
I am so glad God allowed me to cross paths with Alex, Florence and the entire Veydt family. I mourn with you this loss and join you as well in celebrating a life well lived for the Master.
Blessings,
Bill Galipault

Dear Veydt Family,
Our family has had the privilege of sharing your father in our lives for almost 40 years. He included us as his children and we loved him as our dad. His life was one that anyone who loves the Lord would want to emulate. What a wonderful, loving and caring Christian man! We have been deeply blessed by knowing him and may never have the blessing of knowing anyone like him again. Thank you for sharing Alex with us. No matter when we wanted to visit him, we were always welcomed. He lived a great life; loving and being loved and cared-for by his family and his church. Alex lived the life most people only dreamed to live -in happiness and peace. We will all miss him as we continue to miss your mother, but neither will ever be forgotten. His favorite verse: Matthew 6:33.
Love in Christ,
Ron & MaryAnn Fouch & Family
