Obituary of Lorraine Bellisario Caruso
Lorraine Bellisario Caruso, 63, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, passed away on November 23, 2024. She is revered as a pillar of love, strength, positivity and compassion and will be dearly missed by her family and loved ones. Lorraine (Lorrie) was known most for her warmth, generosity, and the undeniable loving spirit she brought into the world.
Lorraine was born to Orlando and Rose Bellisario on August 2nd, 1961, in Pittsburgh, PA. The youngest of four children (survived by her siblings: Earl Bellisario, Dianne Bellisario and Joanne King), Lorrie was always surrounded by warmth and love, which she passed on to so many people in her lifetime. Her never-ending commitment to helping others and her ability to bring positivity and light to every situation was unwavering.
Lorraine met the love of her life and husband, Saverio T. Caruso (Sam), at Brashear High School. The two then went on to create a beautiful life together for 47 passion-filled years. From the birth of their two children, Thomas Caruso and Martina (Caruso) Bernabe, to the addition of their daughter and son-in-law, Becca Caruso and Michael Bernabe, to their newest addition of grandchildren, Milo Saverio and Isabella Rose, family was always at the forefront of Lorraine’s life. Beyond her immediate family was a support system of in-laws (Rosa Caruso, Tony and Kathy Caruso, Rita and Vince Trocheck, Rosemarie Caruso, Tom King and Karen Bellisario) aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, all of whom loved her dearly. With an incredible family tree, consisting of both blood ties and bonds, formed with the heart, Lorrie’s reach was as far as it was wide, and she was cherished deeply by many.
Among Lorraine’s most significant accomplishments was raising her two children, whom she held as her pride and joy. Beyond being the best mother, wife and grandmother, she also served as an incredible friend to many. Professionally, she excelled as an Engineer, Business Owner, and Personal Mentor to so many. All that knew her well knew that she was a force of nature and the best companion to have on your side. Her legacy is one of unyielding kindness and generosity. Even with little to spare, Lorraine continued to give and help others. She never faltered in caring for her loved ones more than she did herself.
