There are many impressive things about Mr. Herlhy. His family is impressive as well. It is a true reflection of the man himself. For his funeral, all his children, his grandchildren, step-children, and many family members attended. Visitors came from California, North Carolina, Minnesota, Massachusetts, Florida, Pennsylvania, and Georgia. Each person remarking "I would not have missed the chance to honor him and his memory". A remarkable showing for a remarkable man.

My Uncle Bill was not only my Godfather but my favorite uncle. When I think of him I fondly remember the house in Hicksville, Long Island where he formerly lived. I think of our many family gatherings at Jones Beach, barbecues, holidays, and so many more wonderful times together. Uncle Bill was a kind and gentle soul with a genial personality. He will be greatly missed by all of us here in Connecticut. Jackie and Joe

To the Herlihy and Senko families, on behalf of my family, condolences for your loss. You were cornerstones in a wonderful community, and Bill was a big part of that. Although we lived many miles apart when we did get to see uncle Bill it was always a very pleasant and enjoyable experience. He always had a smile on his face and a sense of love to all of us in Connecticut. We will certainly miss the joy, warmth and love he projected to everyone.
