Obituary of Jack Edward Aitken

Age 73, of Mt. Lebanon, passed away on Tuesday August 6, 2024. He is survived by his four loving children, first born son Brian Aitken, eldest daughter Melissa Mentz (Kevin Mentz), middle daughter Amanda Lataille (Justin Lataille) and youngest daughter Emily Aitken (Matt Fignar). Also, his six grandchildren Robert Mentz, Jordan Aitken, Kayla Mentz, Brody Aitken, Arya Fignar and Carleigh Mentz. Additionally, by siblings Dennis Aitken (Colleen Aitken) and Diane Spero. He was the loving husband of late Sandra Aitken. And he was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Mary Aitken as well as his brother Carl Aitken (late JoAnn Aitken). Jack was a dedicated Custodian at Mt. Lebanon High School for over 30 years, where he touched so many lives. He loved reading, listening to music, his Pittsburgh Steelers (really any sports), and a good time with friends and family. Jack had a way of making friends wherever he went and loved to crack a joke just to make you laugh or surprise you. Jack was enjoyed and remembered by everyone he met and will be deeply missed by all. Friends and Family will be received on Saturday August 10, 2024, from 1-2pm, at which time a Blessing Service will be held at the WARCHOL FUNERAL HOME, INC, 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville, PA 15017. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Snoop Youth Football League.
