Dear Kim and Family:
We are very sorry for your loss!
Bill was a tremendous help to us during the years we worked together. He contributed greatly in helping us sustain and develop the business during many difficult years. He was intelligent and very talented as well as hardworking, dependable, cooperative and he never turned away from a difficult challenge. He was also just fun to be with. We will always remember and greatly appreciate all that he did for us!
We pray that God will provide you all with the strength and comfort that you need and to know with certainty that this separation is only temporary.

Sending my deepest sympathies to the Lester Family. Bill was not only an awesome co-worker at PaDOT; knowledgeable, hard working, and a pragmatic problem solver, but we also shared stories of our children’s accomplishments, as we both were part of the USC community. Wishing the Lester Family peace and strength during this difficult time.

Mr. Lester was a wonderful person- I will never forget him cheering Kory and me on from the sidelines when we played soccer together. He always gave me the warmest greeting any time I saw him and was always, always kind. We will miss him, and my love, thoughts, and prayers to the Lester family. We love you. ❤️

I worked with Bill for several years. Bill was smart, a hard worker, was always looking for practical solutions, but above all of that, a great friend. Last email I received from him he said to let him know when I was in the area. Thought I had more time to have an opportunity to do that. There’s an old saying that goes “the hardest thing is the last goodbye, especially if you didn’t know it was really the last one”. That applies to my last interaction with Bill. Hearing the news of Bill’s passing was very hard. Sending thoughts and prayers to Bill’s family and his loved ones. May he rest in peace.

My sincere sympathy to Bill's Family. Bill was a great person to work with, one who I considered as a friend. Bill always tried to help work issues out together and then talk about family. His knowledge was vast and extremely helpful. He was such a joy to be around. I will miss him dearly. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

My husband and I are very sad to hear about the passing of Bill. My first time meeting Bill I was new to District 11. He asked me where I was from and I replied Blairsville then he proceeded to ask me if I knew where Torrance was as he had a farm there. We talked and I explained that my Mom and her sister grew up in the village of Torrance. I told him that a lady in the village of Torrance and her husband raised my Mom and sister for a while and low and behold it was Bill’s Aunt and Uncle. Let’s just say it’s a small world. Bill and I often talked about the area and our children as they are around the same age. We will miss his stories and his smile…. Wishing you and your family peace while you begin your journey of healing… Our deepest sympathies…
Hope and Shaun Werner

Most sincere condolences to Bill's Family, he loved you all...Bill and I knew each other for many years, from when he was a contractor to when he came aboard to the DOT. We had our battles over work issues, and always an equal amount of laughter to offset...He always had my admiration for being a "nuts and bolts" guy that could discuss situations on any level and craft solutions.
Rest easy, my friend, you did well.
