Apologies if this is duplicated, I had just posted but do not think it went through. We had met Gary on a Perillo tour of Italy and have been in touch ever since. When Gary did not send a Christmas card we knew something must be wrong, and we saw this obituary. We are so saddened and shocked, and send our sincere condolences to Gary’s partner, family and friends. Gary was so much fun and we enjoyed touring around Italy with him. He was such a kind, interesting, and again, fun person. He will be so missed, and we are so very sorry for your loss. David and Laura Tribble

Dear Gary. This is Frank from Palm Springs. Our story. We met in 1975 in Los Angeles. Maintained a friendship for 50 years.....off and on. I have been emailing Gary for 2 months . No response. Was missing him. Checked the obit tonite. And alast, Gary is gone. But never forgotten. Gary, my dear friend, I love you and will miss you for as long as I exist on this planet. Rest in peace. We could have been. We were not. Maybe next time, my dear friend. Maybe next time. Love is a 4 letter word that says it all. Love and Peace. Frank Ruggieri

Our deepest sympathy to Gary's family and friends. We installed both of his A/C systems and boiler many years ago and always enjoyed seeing him generally on a yearly basis. He will be missed for sure. Everyone at Gravener Heating & A/C, LLC.

Gary was a dental patient of mine for close to 40 years! He was not just a patient but a friend! When you see someone several times each year for a block of one on one time you truly get to know them.... especially in a dental chair. Gary's kindness and humor radiated through the walls of my room! He loved hearing about my 3 daughters especially their interests in the arts! My middle daughter is a muralist in Florida. He also coached me through the academics of my youngest daughter with dyslexia. We shared remodeling interests and redecorating sites! He shared stories of his recent travels.... but all the fun we had would come to a halt when a strong political view was in the air when my employer so joyfully came in the room to stir the pot with Gary!!! We loved him!!! In a practice that has over the years treated thousands... I know we would all agree that Gary was Top of our list of favorites of patient/friend! God bless you dear Gary... love your friend Patti

Where to begin with Gary? He was caring, helpful and lots of fun just to mention a few. I met Gary at Pitt and was fortunate to stay in touch through the years. Gary worked at a shoe store in college and he always kept us supplied with plenty of shoes! He would laugh heartily if he could read this. The world lost one of their angels when Gary passed. RIP buddy. We will all miss you.

Gary was a kind and loving classmate and friend. We attended South Fayette high school together, where we were fellow band members. We also attended grad school together at DU. He was an exceptional educator, and truly good human. Sincere condolences to all who loved him..

I taught with Gary at the Pittsburgh Gifted Center for several years. He was a creative, caring, highly evolved human being that owned every room that he occupied. It was a privilege.to be his friend and maintain contact years after our retirement. Please accept my deepest condolences. This world has suffered an irreplaceable loss.
