I always referred to Mr Kardos as my phone friend. Diane and I had been friends many years ago. We worked in the same school in State College. Over the years as often happens we lost touch. I decided to see if I could find her again. After much searching, I came across the name, John Kardos. I remembered that was her maiden name. I took a chance and I called the number that I found. I explained who I was, and why I was calling. He took great delight in telling me that indeed I was looking for his daughter! We chatted for a while, and I don’t remember if he gave me her number or if he called her and gave her my number but we reconnected! Whenever I would talk to her, I would always tell her.
