Richard G. Bartolomeo
Richard “Dick/Dickie” Bartolomeo of South Fayette, Pennsylvania departed this life on October 15, 2022.
The son of the late Anthony “Tony” & Pearl Bartolomeo, Richard was born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania on July 15, 1944.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Joyce Bartolomeo, and his sons Josh Bartolomeo of Palm Desert, California, and Shane (Alexandra) Bartolomeo of Hurricane, West Virginia. He was also the cherished brother of Adele “Sissy” (Norm Peszko) Bartolomeo and Cathy Bartolomeo, both of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, and uncle to Brandon (Sarah Newton) Peters of Oakdale, Pennsylvania, Chase Bartolomeo of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Jim Wright of Catonsville, Maryland, nephew Jim Francis of Tokyo, Japan, niece DJ (Mark) Simpson of Garden Grove, California, nephew Sean (Elizabeth) Becker of Worthington, Ohio, nephew Jim (Kathleen) Wright of Catonsville, Maryland, and numerous great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law Walter Wright, mother-in-law Ruth Wright, and sisters-in-law Judy Becker and Polly Wright.
Richard loved traveling, watching sports, and playing golf. He was a walking encyclopedia of the best restaurants throughout the country and could give you step-by-step directions to each of them. He loved his dogs and could be seen walking them in Fairview Park daily. Richard was a long-time employee of Pro Materials Direct and truly enjoyed his work. He was loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
Family and friends received this Thursday, October 20th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at WARCHOL FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville, (412-221-3333) where a funeral service will take place immediately after at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Bridgeville Area Food Bank or the Fairview Volunteer Fire Department.
