Obituary of Joan J. Nock

Nock Joan J. (Lowery) Age 85, of South Fayette Twp., died on June 6, 2022, in St Clair Hospital. Joan was born in Pittsburgh on February 28, 1937, a daughter of the late Julia and Joseph Lowery. She married Raymond P. Nock on November 19, 1955, and they fell just short of celebrating 58 years together when Ray passed away on November 7, 2013. Joan graduated from South Hills High School in 1955 and remained friends with many of her classmates throughout the years. She was an usher for many years at the Benedum Center where she also got to enjoy hundreds of shows. She was an avid subscriber to the River City Brass Band and attended every performance she could. Though in poor health, she attended her last concert on May 10th and could not have enjoyed it more. She enjoyed traveling all over the world and took many cruises with her friends. She bred Maine Coon cats for many years and delivered the beautiful and fluffy kittens to many people in the area. She will be missed by her beloved cats, Arianna, and Legacy. She is survived by her three sons, David (Margaret), Jeff (Janet), and Dean (Patti). She is also survived by her six grandchildren, Danielle (Jeff) White, Michelle Nock, Andrew (Samantha) Nock, Vicky Nock, Dylan and Devin Nock. She also has 2 great granddaughters, Nora White and Charlotte Nock. Friends received on Friday, June 10, from 4-8pm, at the Warchol Funeral Home, Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, June 11, at 10:00 am, at St. Barbara Church 0f Corpus Christi Parish, Bridgeville.
