I was so sorry to read about Jeanette. I work in the Outpatient Oncology unit at Greenville Hospital and remember both Jeanette and Joe with much fondness. The support group frequently asks about them and I am sorry that somehow we lost touch with them. Joe always sang the "five golden rings" portion of the the Twelve days of Christmas at our annual Christmas party and would occasionaly grace us with a solo. Jeanette always reminded me of my great aunt Edith and it made me smile just to see her.
Another great story is of the first time that Joe came to us. It was Halloween and the staff was dressed as bikers. Joe had a terrible reaction to the medication and we rushed him to the ER, flying down the hallway in costume. The strong bond between all of us started at that time.
Joe and Jeannette were wonderful people and we have already been missing them. Take care, Helen Cole
