Dear Family of Father James,
I met Fr. James many years ago. He blessed my condo when I moved in and also my car. I kind of grew up knowing Fr. James. When my dog died, he not only told me to come to the church so he could talk to me, but he also asked me to come to the Sunday Mass. I was not a member of his church. That Sunday, his sermon was about pets--it was a message just for me. After he moved from Butler, we kept in touch and I received many beautiful cards from him exchanging mostly stories about his kitty and my dog. He was a beautiful, kind priest and he will be dearly missed. I will be making a donation to the Butler County Humane Society in his memory. I think he would like that.
My deepest sympathy to you. Remember--The Rose still blooms on the other side!

Jim, Mary and family;
We are deeply sorrowed to hear of the passing of your father. You know how important he was to my dad, mom and all of our St. Anthony''s parish. His devotion to guiding those families in the early days of our church was so important to so very many who dreamed of having a church for all those years. You may remember, he also traveled to Marshall in June, 1971 to marry us! What a truly marvelous, loving, devoted and caring man.
Please accept our prayers of sorrow and praise of glory at this difficult time.
