Obituary of Gerald P. Malarkey

Gerald P. Malarkey Age 87 of Scott Twp. on Thursday, September 8, 2011. Beloved and cherished husband of the late Joan (Lutz) Malarkey. Loving and committed father of Jerry (Laurie) Malarkey of Upper St.Clair, Patty (Mark) Witmer of Scott, Bill (Cheryl) Malarkey of Bethel Park, Kathy (Dan) Revesz of Scott, Jim (Beth) Malarkey of Upper St. Clair,Mary Lou (Jeff) Reicoff of Scott, and Dan (Elaine) Malarkey of Bethel Park. Preceded in death also by his parents, William and Christine, and brothers Leo, William, and Claire (Tay). Devoted grandfather to his 21 grandchildren. He was an enthusiastic and proud spectator at all of their dance shows, plays, and sporting events. He was thrilled with the recent birth of his 2 great-grandsons. Loving brother-in-law and best friend of Gloria Lutz. Gerald "Pat" was a retired teacher and basketball coach at Bridgeville High School; Home School Visitor, Athletic Director, and Basketball Coach throughout his employment at South Fayette High School; WPIAL official for football and basketball. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Parish where he was an altar server at daily masses. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Friends received Saturday, 7-0 PM and Sunday, 2-4 & 7-9 PM, in the Warchol Funeral Home, Inc. , 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333).
