JOHN KENNETH
Age 75, of North Strabane Twp., passed to eternal life on Friday, March 10, 2017. Born February 21, 1942, to John Romanus and Lucille Stanton Scanlon. John grew up in Greenfield, PA. Following his graduation from St. Michael’s High School in Pittsburgh, John worked over 40 years as a sales representative for Croscill Home Fashions. John loved his job and traveled his sales region taking care of his customers and making great friends along the way. John was a devoted sports fan, an interest he passed along to his children and grandchildren. A season ticket holder, he spent many Sunday afternoons in Three Rivers Stadium and Heinz Field cheering on his Steelers. A baseball fan at heart, John loved traveling to major league ballparks, attending games in many different stadiums across the country. His family is left with many great memories of the sporting events they attended together. John is survived by his beloved wife Patricia, whom he married on January 23, 1968. He is also survived by his three sons, who loved him so much, Jeff (Glenna), Steve and Chris (Erin), as well as his four cherished grandsons, Ian, Ryan, Jack and Will. He is also survived by a sister-in-law, Ann. John is predeceased by his beloved older brother Thomas. Friends received on Monday, March 13, 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the WARCHOL FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, 10AM, at St. Patrick Parish, Canonsburg, with the Rev. John J. Batykefer, as celebrant. Interment at St. Patrick Cemetery.
