Obituary of Lois M. Lersch

Lois M. (Schenecker) Lersch, 81, of Bridgeville, Pa. passed peacefully into the waiting arms of our Lord on October 7, 2016. Lois loved spending time with family and friends and dedicated her life to taking care of the needs of others. Regular visitors to the Shop and Save, where she most recently worked in their coffee shop, received a warm and friendly welcome and personalized service. For many years, in addition to being a wife, mother and grandmother, she was a bookkeeper in the family construction business. With three children and moving from the suburbs to a farm in Eighty-Four, Pa., she took on a heavy burden and kept up with all that came with a new lifestyle. Then with another son, she brought more life into the family. During her little spare time, Lois enjoyed knitting and reading novels. She attended Holy Child Roman Catholic Church in Bridgeville. Lois will be missed as a loving and caring mother, sister, wife and friend. Lois was preceded in death by her parents Charles "Chick" and Lorene (Martin) Schenecker and brother Charles Schenecker, all of the Pittsburgh area. She is survived by her sister Linda (George) Koontz, Castle Shannon, Pa., her children David (Lynne) Lersch of Waterford, CT., Daniel (Sherry) Lersch of Eightyfour, Laura (Steve) Hutter of Upper St Clair, Pa., and Dale (Suzanne) Lersch of Penn Hills, Pa., six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks for the kind and professional care received at St Clair Hospital (CVSU). At her request, all services are private. Arrangements entrusted to the Warchol Funeral Home Inc. (412.221.3333).
