Obituary of Russell McLeod II
Russell Edward “Eddie” McLeod II, 47, formerly of Bridgeville, was killed in a car accident October 1, 2016 in Papa, Hungary where he was living while working for Boeing Aircraft at a NATO base there. AFTER HIGH SCHOOL RUSS JOINED THE US Air Force and served IN DESERT SHIELD, DESERT STORM, OPERATION PROVIDE HOPE, OPERATION PROVIDE PROMISE OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM AND OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM. He retired as a MSgt. in 2011 WITH 24 YRS OF SERVICE. He was attending Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University at the time of his death. He had distinguished himself many times over for his knowledge of the C-17 aircraft and had acquired FAA certifications. He leaves behind his son Ryan (Tiffany) McLeod of Altus, OK; Grandson, Zachariah McLeod (5) of St. Johns, PA; mother and father, Russell and Cynthia McLeod of Wesley Chapel, Florida; Brothers Joel of Atlanta, GA and Stephen (Melissa) of Chicago, IL.; Sister Anne Kelly of Manhattan Beach, CA; nephew Colin Kelly and nieces Katherine and Kerryn Kelly and Marin McLeod; beloved Uncle Ken and Aunt Marlene McLeod. There are many loving cousins, friends and co-workers, civilian and military who will also miss him very much. Friends received Tuesday, 2-4 and 6-9 PM, at the Warchol Funeral Home Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333). A funeral service will be held Wednesday, 11 AM, at Bethany Presbyterian Church, (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). Committal service with full military honors will be held Thursday, 11 AM, at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. The family requests in lieu of flowers that you honor his memory by making donations to the Bridgeville Fire Department, The Bridgeville Food Bank or The Bridgeville Library.
