Obituary of Joseph C. Bellia
Age 80, of Mt. Lebanon, on August 14, 2016. Born August 25, 1935 in Wheeling, W.V., he attended West Liberty State College after which he served four years in the U.S. Air Force, Strategic Air Command, stationed at Pease AFB in Portsmouth, NH. He was then employed as a drafting group leader for engineering companies in Florida, New York and finally in Pittsburgh. He earned his Professional Engineers License in 1973, held several patents, and held an FAA Private Pilot license. He moved into sales in 1975 and started his own Manufacturer’s Representative Company in 1980. Joe was a car enthusiast and current member of Porsche Club of America, WPA Chapter. He was an avid craftsman who enjoyed home improvement projects, working on his cars, and passing his skills and knowledge along to his three sons. Surviving is his beloved wife of 50 years, Kay (Abrams) Bellia, three sons, David (Leslie) of Chippewa, Andrew (Patricia) of Santa Fe, NM, and Mark (Joanne) of Venetia and two grandchildren, Kelley and Matthew. Friends received Wednesday, 2-4 and 6-8 PM, in the Warchol Funeral Home, Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333), where a blessing service will be held Thursday at 10 AM.
