Obituary of Arlie Sharp
Age 92, of Waynesburg, formerly of Bridgeville, on March 17, 2016. He was born on September 25, 1923, in Shinston, W.V. A son of Dewey and Iva Grubb Sharp. Beloved husband of the late Mabel R. Sharp, loving father of Jeff (Kathi) Sharp and Ken (Janet) Sharp, uncle of Linda Hoppe and Kathy McCarthy, also 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Deceased is a brother; Harry (Doris) Sharp and a granddaughter; Amy Holeva. Mr. Sharp was a lifetime member and former chief of the Bridgeville V.F.D. He served as Past Master of St. John’s Lodge No. 221, F&AM; and was a 70 year member of Local 66, International Union of Operating Engineers. He also served as treasurer for Fordyce United Methodist Church and of the Harry Enstrom Branch of the Izaak Walton League of America. The Sharp family would like to thank all the dear friends and neighbors who allowed him to live and die as he wished. Friends received Saturday, 7-9 PM and Sunday, 2-4 and 6-8 PM, in the Warchol Funeral Home, Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333), where a service will be held Monday, 10 AM, with the Rev. James Lewis, officiating. Interment to follow in Jefferson Memorial Park, Pleasant Hills. Memorials to Fordyce United Methodist Church or Harry Enstrom Branch of the Izaak Walton League of America.
