When we think of Grandma Morrida, we think of how much she loved and cared for her family. Often times it was by feeding us. Whether it was a cool Push Up on the front porch in summer, pirogies during the holidays, or gullets anytime of the year, we knew as kids that every time we went to Grandma's house we were going to get fed. However, food was just the start. After bringing out enough food to feed us for a week, she would sit down and talk with you. She would listen patiently to all of the good things, bad things, and worries in your life with a cool calm. She would never interrupt you and would just let you talk. No matter what you said she would not get angry with you, she would just accept your situation. Our father did not get his temperament from her that much is clear. Grandma would also help you in whatever way she could no matter how personally inconvenient it would be to her. She would do whatever was needed for her family.
We are going to miss you Grandma, and I hope you know how much we loved you, just like you showed love to us. I know you missed Pap Pap terribly and I'm glad that you will finally get to see him again. We know that you are going to continue loving us and will continue helping us just like you've always done.
Love,
Aaron and Jacob

Morrida Family,
So sorry for your loss of Dorothy. I have known her since I was a teenager. I had some good conversations with her and will always remember her nice laugh. She can rest now with her husband and in good company with my parents. I like to think they are laughing and maybe even talking about us. I feel your pain and pray for you all at this very difficult time.
