Obituary of Carmen Louis Raco
RACO
CARMEN LOUIS
Age 91, passed peacefully on December 31, 2015 at home with his family at his side. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Mary (Sinnicrope) Raco; daughter Mary Beth (Tony) Williams and grandchildren F. Carmen and Melina Williams. Born before the Great Depression, the youngest of five brothers to Italian Immigrants, Carmen lived a simple life; his immediate family was his priority (although he was always a sharp dresser!). An avid and life-long Pittsburgh sports fan. He worked in freight transportation for 40 years with several companies such as Superior Steel, Sam Gordon, Lee Way and Eazor Trucking. In retirement, he was a Ranger at Neville Wood Country Club and he worked at the Rennerdale Corner Store. Carmen and Mary were fixtures at the old “Louis Tambellini’s Restaurant” every Saturday night and Carmen had a kind greeting for everyone he met. His proudest moments were with his two grandchildren at their shared home in Collier Twp. for the past 26 years, just enjoying an old fashioned, home cooked Italian dinner together. We will miss you “Pap”.
Family and friends received on Monday from 4-8PM at the Warchol Funeral Home Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412.221.3333). Service and interment private.
