Darlene, Molly and Casey,
Words cannot express my sympathy to all of you in this time of loss. I know all too well the feelings that you are experiencing only having this same experience a couple months prior. The best words I can share are to turn to those who love you... your family, your friends and most of all God. We don't know the reasons for our "GREAT MEN" being taken from us, but I assure you it is part of God's greater plan. Be strong and please know that my prayers are with all of you and your family. By the way, I will NEVER forget Rabbit's laugh... even if I haven't heard it in years and years! Much love,
Wendy

Dear Darlene, Molly, Casey and Family,
I was so shocked to hear at daily Mass, the name of George Bittner. I went home and looked on the internet and couldn't believe it was George...so young and we remember, so young at heart.
The girls remember him as the "fun Dad".... always ready to help...at the summer church festivals and we still remember the "Nittany Lions" fight song on the answering machine.
Although, we haven't seen George in a long time since the girls were young and at St. Agatha's....we will never forget how fun loving he is. I know when we look at the sky....as they say..."God must be a Penn State Fan" because he made the sky blue and white. Now, we know George one of their biggest fans, has the best seat in the house for all of the games.
Your whole family is in our thoughts and prayers. I'd say we will pray for George, but someone with such a big heart...probably doesn't need our prayers.....his life was a prayer.

I knew Rabbit as he would visit Burgh's while I was working. I borrowed his blue chevy van to move from Mckees Rocks to Bridgeville. He was one of a kind friend, customer, and person. George would always smile make jokes and sing to the juke box in Burgh's. He always wore the shirts with birds on it this is how I found out his was a Jimmy Buffet fan. To the family my condolences and love go out to you. We will keep his memories of his smiling rabbit face in our prayers and thoughts. God Bless

Darlene, Molly, Casey, friends and family,
So very sorry for your loss. Rabbit had a gift... his outrageous sense of humor was always lined with kindness, and somehow everyone was in on the joke. He'll remain in our hearts. I can still feel his warm hugs and hear his laughter.

Uncle Rabbit was an amazing person. I held him in such high regard. I will be praying for you. You guys have always been so good to me. I have had such a wonderful blessing to be invited on your family vacations and get to be a part of your lives. I am so thankful for every memory. Every memory I have is a happy one filled with laughter and love. Parrot Heads in Put-in-Bay, Ocean City where he nicknamed me "TW" (Truly Wierd), Singing Karaoke at Siebenbergers, Blymillers picnics, your home in Pittsburgh, etc....so many good times...what a amazing human being. I love you guys and if there is anything you need.

Dear Darlene, Molly, Casey and extended Bittner family -
My condolences on your great loss. George was one of the good guys; a real character and class act. He touched many us of across the nation. I had the privilege of knowing George through our many years in the office products industry. As a fellow 'Keystonian' and supporter of the Nittany Lions, I looked forward with great anticipation to our numerous visits during each year at the many industry meetings.
With deepest sympathy - Carl Winters, St. Louis
