Obituary of Christopher Andrew Vanistendael

CHRISTOPHER ANDREW
Age 52, of Baltimore, MD, formerly of Washington County, passed away unexpectedly on February 9, 2015. Preceded in death by his parents David and Marilyn (Hyde) Vanistendael and his brother Raymond Vanistendael. He is survived by his stepmother, Hilda (Brown) Dillie Vanistendael; his sisters Yvonne McClure, Charlene Vanistendael, Beth Vanistendael, Gloria Renee(Michael)Fuller; his stepsisters Jane (Wayne) Willard, Dolores (Kurt) Hickman, and Debbie Brooks; his brother Mark (Carrie), and his stepbrothers Kevin (Myong) Dillie, and Paulford Dillie. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graduate of Peters Township High School, he attended Maryland Bible College and Seminary, in Baltimore. He was employed by Basement Waterproofing Nationwide of Edgewood, MD. Chris most enjoyed the great outdoors, especially backpacking. His proudest accomplishments were the completion of the Warrior Trail in Greene County, PA, the Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail, and the Susquehannock Trail of Potter County, PA. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 11 AM at Warchol Funeral Home, 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333). In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Warchol Funeral Home to help defer the cost of services.
