Walter "Vudgu" Piechnick
Beloved Husband and Father
On January 19, 2015, Jesus escorted Walter A. Piechnick, 74, of Canonsburg from his temporary dwelling place on this earth to his eternal life of peace and rest.
He was born on September 30, 1940, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Joseph and Genevieve Severyn Piechnick.
He was a graduate from the last class to attend Canonsburg High School in 1959. Mr. Piechnick was a veteran of the U.S Air Force and retired from UPMC Health System in 2007.
He was a sports enthusiast, and enjoyed his days of coaching in the Canonsburg youth football and baseball organizations.
On February 23, 1963, he married Wilma Joan Kausek, who survives. Left to cherish his memory are four children, Mark (Teri) Piechnick, Scott Piechnick, Craig (Sherry) Piechnick and Sherree (Jeff) Beltz; eleven grandchildren, Brianna (Chris) Liberatore, Paige (Tony) Priano, Tori (Fiance, Adam Shaw) Piechnick, Brock, Alia, Caley, Greyden, Taylor, Riley, Teagan and Tanner Piechnick.
