Obituary of Jean W. Caruso

CARUSO JEAN WANDA (Seyman) Jean Wanda Caruso passed at age 90 on the morning of December 27, 2014. Her home for 66 years has been Upper St. Clair. She was born on February 23, 1924 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of the late Wanda and John Szymanski. Between 1944 and 1947, she was a fashion model and a singer with the Benny Strong Orchestra in Chicago. She moved to Pittsburgh in 1948 with her husband, the late Querino (Warren) Caruso. She worked as a supervisor of the Table Linen Department at Joseph Horne Company/Macy's for 20 years prior to retirement in 1989. Her creative hobbies included flower arranging, baking, recipe collecting, gardening and painting. There was nothing Jean loved more than spending time with her family. She is survived by her loving children, Pamela Frost (Fred), Christopher Caruso (Lisa), Carolyn Kozlowski (Jim), and John Seyman (Mary Ann), and seven grandchildren, Fred Frost (Jennifer), Cara Caruso, David Caruso (Megan), Michael Caruso, Nicole Currivan (Christopher), Jake Kozlowski and Jesse Kozlowski. Visitation Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Warchol Funeral Home Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville PA 15017 (412-221-3333), where a service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org or the Western Pennsylvania Humane Society at www.wpahumane.org .
