Obituary of Beverly A. Brown

Age 75, of South Fayette, arrived in heaven peacefully on May 22, 2014. She was a devoted wife to Richard, with whom she shared 50 wonderful years. She unconditionally loved her 5 children, Christopher, Dale (Marleen), Rebecca (Chrissy), Michelle (Chris) and Barbara (Mark); she adored and spoiled her 3 grandchildren, Danielle, Jared and Michael. Beverly lived a selfless life, always putting her family and friends above her own needs. She taught us love, forgiveness and understanding. In her early years, she loved horseback riding, working on the farm and all her beloved animals. She enjoyed cooking meals for her family and shared with anyone in need. She loved the Adirondack Mountains, summers in Otter Lake, NY, camping and had a passion for painting. She was born in Utica, NY, to the late Wilbur and Doria Locke. She was preceded in death by her brother Gary (Sharon) and is survived by her brother William (Carm) and sisters Sandra (Butch) and Gale (Richard). She is also survived and loved by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends will be received on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Warchol Funeral Home Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 AM at Holy Child Parish. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to UPMC Cancer Center's Patient Assistance Fund, which was founded by Beverly's Oncologist, Dr. Barry Lembersky, 5150 Centre Ave. Pittsburgh, PA 15232. Family and friends will be received on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Warchol Funeral Home Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333).
