Obituary of Serphine Columbus

Columbus Serphine "Chris" Age 93, of Scott Twp., on March 6, 2014. Beloved husband of the late Mary (Giammarco) Columbus, loving father of Diane (Don) Rodes of Sacramento, CA and Phyllis (George) Cupp of South Fayette, brother of Regina Columbus, grandfather of Megan (James) Goodell, Kelly Flanagan, Matt (Annamarie) Cupp and Jeff Cupp, great-grandfather of Ford Goodell. Mr. Columbus attended St. Vincent's College, where he played football, basketball and baseball. A veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Army and a retired conductor for Conrail Railroad. Friends received Sunday, 2-4 and 6-8 pm, in the Warchol Funeral Home, Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, 10 am, in Our Lady of Grace Church, Keefer Hall.
