Obituary of Joyce P. Senecal

Age 86, of Pittsburgh, PA died peacefully at home with her family by her side on February 23, 2014. She was born in Plattsburgh, NY on Dec 9, 1927 the daughter of the late Homer and Frances (Clark) Gebo. On September 12, 1948 she married Andrew P. Senecal at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Plattsburgh. Joyce and Andy loved Lake Champlain and always summered at their cottage on the lake after Andy retired. In addition to her husband Andy, Joyce is survived by her 3 daughters Kathleen Williams of Syracuse, NY, Ann Martin and her companion Bob Tompkins of Moriah Center, NY & Patricia (Anthony) D'Aurora of Steubenville, OH, and her son Andrew T (Mary Ann) Senecal of Virginia Beach, VA. Joyce is the cherished grandmother of Sean Martin (companion Amanda Shalton) Joseph Martin(companion Aly Esteves), Bryan (Amber) D'Aurora, Jeremy (Maureen) Williams, Cassandra (Ti) Hall, Shana D'Aurora(companion Chris Wydra), Staci Senecal, and Amber Senecal; also her great-grandchildren Noah, Jaylen, Jonathan, Jackson, Bralyn, & Ryland and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by two sisters, June (the late Mike) Rogers and Janet (Ken) Lehl. Besides her parents, Joyce was predeceased by her son-in-laws Steve Martin and Ray Williams, and her sister Betty (Frank) Champagne. Friends received Thursday, 4-8 p.m., in the Warchol Funeral Home, Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, at 9:45 a.m., in St. Thomas More Church. Burial will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
