Age 91, of Bridgeville, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2014 at home, where he resided for the last 57 years with his loving wife of 70 years, Mary "Mim" (Partridge) Klements. Also survived by daughter Trudy Lynn (Tom "Cass", Jr.) Cassidy; granddaughter Mary Kathleen Cassidy; sisters- in- law, Celine Noblit of Largo, FL, Elaine Maleski of Cecil, PA, Katherine "Kay" Partridge of Scott Twp.; many nieces, nephews, great- nieces and nephews, cousins and dear friends. Born in McDonald on November 11, 1922 to the late Joseph and Mathilda Klements. He was preceded in death by brothers, Albert, Joseph, Edward, Oscar and Elmer; sisters, Violet and Tillie. Raymond served as T/5, 1877th Aviation Engineer in Africa and China, Burma, India Theatres during WW II. He was a driver for Matlack Trucking for 29 years before retiring in 1984. Ray was a 70 year member of the Slovenian National Benefit Society. Ray enjoyed listening to polka music, taking care of his Cadillac and spending quality time with family and friends. He had a pilot license and had enjoyed many hours of flying his daughter in a single engine plane out of Campbell's Airport. He was also a member of American Legion Post 823 in Greentree. Raymond was known to all in the neighborhood as "Uncle Ray". He will be deeply missed by all. Family and friends will be received, Saturday, 7-9 pm and Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 pm in the Warchol Funeral Home, Inc. 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville, (412-221-3333), where a service will be held Monday at 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Research Foundation or the Bridgeville Public Library.
