Obituary of John R. Morgan

MORGAN JOHN R. Age 74, of Scott Township, on October 21, 2013. Beloved husband of Joyce (Cunningham) Morgan; loving father of Janet (Frank) Bronstorph, Jennifer (Stuart) Parsons, Joy (Michael) Walsh and Jamie (Brian) Bezila; brother of Nancy (Charles) Snyder and the late Frank Morgan and his wife Nancy also 6 grandchildren. Mr. Morgan was a graduate of California University of PA, where he was a member of the 1958 undefeated championship football team and a member of the TKE fraternity. He was a retired guidance counselor, teacher and former football and wrestling coach for Chartiers Valley School District. He had been the assistant manager of Scott Park Pool since it"s opening in 1969. John was a member of Our Lady of Grace St. Vincent De Paul Society and a longtime member of the Bridgeville-South Fayette Rotary Club. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 7-9 PM and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the Warchol Funeral Home Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10 AM in Our Lady of Grace Church, Scott Twp. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Our Lady of Grace St. Vincent De Paul Society.
