Obituary of Tom Thompson

Tom (Harry A.) Thompson, of Bridgeville, PA, passed away on October 9, 2013 at the age of 87. He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Jean Thompson; his loving daughter Jacquelyn Nixon and her partner Michael Lowe of Dormont and his son Grant Thompson, daughter-in-law Kim and granddaughter Claire of Thousand Oaks, CA. He was preceded in death by his youngest daughter Chris in 2003. Tom spent much of his life raising his family in his home town of Kansas City, MO; where he owned and ran a number of retail businesses. Later he moved his family to Richmond, VA, where they resided until April of this year. Tom was a graduate of Rockhurst College in Kansas City, MO and was an avid golfer, football fan and supporter of the Golden Gloves; where he often served as a judge in the 1970's. Family and friends will be received on Saturday from 11 until the time of service at 1 PM at the Warchol Funeral Home Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333).
