Obituary of Mary E. McCracken

McCracken Mary E. (McCoy) Age 82, of Mt. Lebanon, died on Aug. 8, 2013. A former resident of Scott Twp., she was a graduate of Westminster College, New Wilmington, PA, and had been a reporter and later the editor of the former Bridgeville Area News from 1977 to 1989. She subsequently was public relations coordinator for the Chartiers Valley School District and briefly worked at the office of the Greater Bridgeville Area Chamber of Commerce before her retirement in 1995. She had been a member of the Bridgeville Rotary Club. Surviving are her husband, Howard C. "Mac" McCracken of Mt. Lebanon; two sons, Robert J. (Lisa) of North Strabane and James "Jay" R. (Jo), of York, SC; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sisters; Sally S.N. McCoy, Kate McCoy Nachlin and brother; Herbert Nelson McCoy, Jr. Friends received Saturday, 7-9 PM and Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM, in the Warchol Funeral Home, Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville, (412-221-3333).
