Obituary of Rita Hibay Cready

Age 84, formerly of Flagler Beach, FL and Scott Twp., on June 7, 2013. She was a realtor and former owner of a Dairy Queen in Greentree. Rita, aka "The Ice Cream Kid" and "The Baby Whisperer", was also an avid volunteer and crossword puzzle enthusiast. She was born on July 18, 1928 in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late Vincent and Josephine (Petrone) Ferretti. Beloved wife of the late Russell Hibay and Francis Cready, loving mother of Claire Coppola of Kinnelon, NJ, Joanne (Bill) Henigman of Bridgeville, Denise Hibay of Brooklyn, NY, Pamela (Tom) Elia of South Fayette and the late David Russell Hibay, cherished sister of John Ferretti of Topeka, KS, Thomas Ferretti of Phoenix, AZ and the late Joseph and George Ferretti, sister-in-law of Jean Ferretti of Charleroi, proud and loving grandmother "Nana" of 10 grandchildren: Wil, Jake, Samantha, Tommy, Cori, Russell, Sebastian, Megan, Erica and Katherine, also many relatives and friends who will remember her joyful and loving spirit. Friends received Tuesday, 2-8 PM, in the Warchol Funeral Home, Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333). A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, 11 AM, in St. John Lutheran Church, Carnegie (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer"s Association or St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Carnegie.
