Obituary of Emery Barzan

Barzan Emery Age 83, of Bridgeville, on December 4, 2012. He is survived by his loving wife; Vanda and son; Emery S.; a brother; Alfred and his wife Sandy, of Bridgeville, and two nephews; Mark and Craig Barzan. Son of the late Sante and Adele Barzan. Mr. Barzan graduated from Bridgeville High School and served in the U.S. Army for 2 years during the Korean War. He had been a self-employed consulting structural engineer for the past 43 years. He received his bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and his masters of science degree from Carnegie-Mellon University. Emery was a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the National Society of Professional Engineers. Mr. Barzan, a licensed engineer, did consulting work throughout much of the United States. He also did consulting for corporations from England, Germany, Italy, and Canada. Emery was a life long member of Saint Agatha"s Roman Catholic Church of Holy Child Parish, Bridgeville. Friends received Thursday, 2-9 PM, in the Warchol Funeral Home, Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333).
