Obituary of Edward Meena

On Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, Edward passed away peacefully in his sleep at the seasoned age of 94. Devoted husband of 65 years to the late Lorraine Monsour Meena, Edward was a loving father and "Jidu". Edward leaves behind five cherished grandchildren and three sons and a daughter; Ed, Scott, Paul, and Nikki. A resident of Clairton and Bridgeville, Edward was devoted to St. George Orthodox Church of Bridgeville and Oakland, and his loving family. Brother of Nicholas, and the late Della, Elmaris, Emily, Alec, Cy, Lincoln, and Richard, the children of Abraham and Latifa Meena. Edward always put others first, his gentle, caring manner, his subtle humor, his quiet respect for his blessings, and enjoyment for an evening in a gaming establishment created lasting fond memories for all of us. Love is the greatest gift of all. Thank you Daddy!!! Friends received today, Sunday, 1-3 & 5-8 pm in the WARCHOL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333), where a Trisagion Service will be held Sunday at 7:30 PM. A funeral service will be Monday, 10 AM in St. George Orthodox Church, Bridgeville.
