Obituary of Lawrence E Donovan

Age 82, of Scott Twp., on October 31, 2012. He was born on December 5, 1929, in Pittsburgh. On June 29, 1957 he married Eleanor Schweinebraten Donovan, who survives. A veteran and P.O.W. of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army. A retired teacher from Chartiers Valley School District and a member of the Bridgeville American Legion, Post #54. Mr. Donovan was instrumental in the building of the Korean War Memorial in Pittsburgh. Survivng along with his wife is a brother; James Donovan, a sister; Mary Vish. Deceased are three brothers; Ross, William and Raymond Donovan and two sisters; Elizabeth McGregor and Dolores Stemmler. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Friends received Friday, 2-4 & 7-9 PM, in the Warchol Funeral Home, Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, 12 noon, in Our Lady of Grace Church, Scott Twp., with the Rev. Richard Infante as Celebrant. Entombment with full Military Honors to follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, McMurray. In lieu of flowers; memorials may be made to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation, P.O.
