Obituary of Patrick McGrogan

Age 87, of Cecil Twp., formerly of Heidelberg, on January 17, 2025. Born March 25, 1937 in Kirwan Heights, son of the late John and Stella (Klein) McGrogan. Beloved husband of Gloria (Kanai) for 64 years; loving father of Maureen (John) Gallagher and Patrick (Penny) McGrogan; brother of the late Val McGrogan, Jack McGrogan, Evelyn McGrogan, Audrey Broyles, and Mary Bradford; cherished grandfather of Ryan Gallagher, Sean Gallagher, and Caitlin McGrogan and great grandfather of Cooper Patrick Gallagher. Patrick served proudly with the U.S. Navy and worked as an insurance salesman for Prudential Insurance Company and a contract negotiator for UFWC. At 70 years old, he started his own window business, he continued to work and remain active throughout his later years. Patrick had a passion for roller skating, as recently returned to the rink to enjoy skating again. Family and friends received on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Warchol Funeral Home Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412.221.3333). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 12:45 PM at St. Mary Church of Corpus Christi Parish. Interment and military honors to follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
