I attended north Babylon high school with Tom who was 2 years behind me. We were high school fraternity brothers in Omega Gamma Delta. I am proud to have called him brother. Also proud of his US army service in Vietnam. It was always a pleasure to be in his company. I am sure he will be missed by any and all who knew him. May God rest your soul Tommy until we meet again. I first met Tom when he and his family moved to Sharon Pa. from New York. I have many fond memories of Tom including attending North Hills High School football games with him and his sons, and carpooling with him to and from work for many years. We had many good times together at the Crooked Creek cottage where he became affectionally known as "Stony". I always enjoyed his stories of the IRS in Manhattan and the many differences between agents there and Pittsburgh.Tom was a great husband, father and friend and I know that he will be missed greatly!! So sorry to his family for their incredible loss. I am unable to come to the services since I am only two weeks removed from hip replacement surgery but you all will be in my prayers. My sympathy to the Britt family. Working with Tom at the IRS for many years makes my memory of him vivid. He was definitely one of the good guys. Tom's wry sense of humor and witty conversation delivered with a touch of a New York accent kept me smiling. May God bless and keep him.

Please accept my deepest condolences. It saddens me not to be able to attend the funeral, but I am laid up recuperating from back surgery. Tom was a good family man. His strong religious background got him through this difficult final stage of his life. He was also very strong in his conviction to "do the right thing" in his duties to the IRS. His last words posted on Facebook were "See you all in heaven ". I believe we will.
