Chet , When Ziggy called and told me you had finally left us, along surfaced all those memories. Memories of PGH CARS first car show at Studebakers Restaurant. Memories of all the laughs at those shows we shared. Memories of all the gatherings your and my family shared together.
For me you left for That big car show in the sky.
For me, you and all our mutual friends that moved on way to young, will be keeping all those angels laughing instead of us.
All I can say is I’ll miss your quick wit, you hilarious sarcasm, and most of all I’ll miss you.
For me, now when I see a 1st place Trophy I’ll think of you, my forever 1st place friend.

I'm saddened to hear about Chester's passing. Remember him fondly when introduced to him and Ziggy 35-40 years ago at a car cruise and always looked forward to seeing him since. He's in my thoughts and prayers along with all of you, his family. May he rest in peace. Amen

I’ve known the family for half of my life and they are truly wonderful people that I also consider family. Heaven gained a hard-working, a dedicated person, a wonderful person that was loved and honored and devoted to be the best grandfather and father any family could ever ask for. I truly wish I could’ve had the honor of meeting you, Mr. Zygowski, as well as shaking your hand and given you a hug even. I know for a 100% fact that you will be missed to the fullest extent and with love each and every single day, the memories and love and devotion and spirit of you will live on throughout the years, and bring inspiration, dedication, and hope and light to friends and family and people that looked up to you over the course of your life, and they will cherish the moments they have had with you over the course of the years. You were not just a person on this earth, you were not just, a father, a family, you were not just a grandfather to your grandchildren, you were a light that guided them to where they are this very day and to guide them in a way that you taught them and helped bring them to is the truly best thing that a person can do for his family. Once again, I wish I had the honor of meeting you, sir, and the honor of shining your hand to tell you that your dedication and honor will not be forgotten and your love and strength is past on your family and friends who knew you for the hard-working and loving person that you and still are in heaven. Once again, God gained a warrior that battled through thickens sin to the very end, and who has now earned a resting place at the table of honor and is welcomed with open arms at the seat of the Lord’s table. God bless you, sir, and may you rest in Paradise with the one and Almighty god himself. And to the family of Mr. Zygowski, please know that you will be loved as true family to me like you always have been. If you need anything from me and my girlfriend Courtney, please let me know and let us know if we can do anything for you guys during these times of struggles. We are here for you and we love you guys. God bless you guys. We love you.

While Chet and I worked together in the Bridgeville funeral home for only a few years, as with everyone who knew him, he never lost touch. Such a kind, funny, and generous person, he would text me every year close to his birthday to sarcastically remind me not to forget! Then we'd catch up for an hour or so and I could hear his beloved Sylvia in the background chuckling as he and I had a grand old chat. Boy, will the world be a different place without his sense of humour!
I am so sorry for your loss, Sylvia and family, and David, you know you were always more to him than a co-worker and boss. I sure am hoping he and Bobby ("Unc") are looking down on everyone and looking for smiles amidst the tears.
