Obituary of Ronald C. Carlisle

Ronald C. Carlisle 1948-2024 Ronald C. Carlisle, of Upper St. Clair, previously of Carnegie, died on October 14, 2024. A Pittsburgh area archeologist and historian, Ron authored Story of Woodville: The History, Architecture, and Archaeology of a Western Pennsylvania Farm. As a percussionist and timpanist of the McKeesport Symphony Orchestra, Ron was also the owner of Carlisle Percussion Products, which hand-crafted timpani sticks and other percussion accoutrements. He was preceded in death by his Mother, Florence I. Carlisle, and Father, Clarke M. Carlisle. Ron leaves behind dear friends, a legacy of his passionate knowledge of history and archeology, and a love of animals. Donations in Ron’s memory can be made to Animal Friends or Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh, “in support of their good works for those who have no voice.” A Memorial Luncheon will be held Wednesday, December 4, 2024, 1:30 PM-3:30 PM at Firebirds Wood Fired Grill, The Piazza in South Fayette, 201 Millers Run Rd., Bridgeville, PA 15017.
