Age 86, of South Fayette Twp., passed away on November 4, 2024. Born on October 12, 1938, in Pittsburgh and raised in the Morgan Blocks of South Fayette Township by his coal mining aunts, uncles, and grandparents (The Bregon Family). A veteran of the US Army, he was also a proud US Steel employee at OH5 in Homestead, and ultimately moved over to GE Glass in Bridgeville when the steel business took a downturn in the mid-eighties. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, as well as a more than occasional shot and beer with his workmates. He rooted for all the local college football teams including Penn State, Pitt, and WVU. He leaves behind his loyal wife and partner of 59 years Rena, children; Rick (Fran) Reading, Mike Reading, and Tara (David) DeAngelis, grandchildren; Brianna, Brooke, Anthony, and Joseph. Friends and family will be received Saturday November 9, from 9 – 10 am, at which time a Blessing Service will be held at 10 am, at the Warchol Funeral Home, Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333). Interment to follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies with Military Honors.
