Obituary of Rhoda Alston

Age 98, of Bridgeville, on October 23, 2012. Daughter of the late Lydia and William Rosser, beloved wife of the late Alexander Alston Sr., loving mother of William Alston Sr., Alexander Alston Jr., and the late Maggie Dean, Lydia Alston and Viola Partee, sister of Caldonia Silver, Ruth Walker and the late Julius, Lee, Moses and Joe Rosser, Mamie Williams, Daisy Wright, Winnie Lynch and Roma Nelson. Also survived by 19 grandchildren, and many great and great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Alston was a faithful member and President of the Usher Board of the Second Baptist Church of Carnegie. Friends received Friday, 2-4 & 7-9 PM, in the Warchol Funeral Home, Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333). Additional visitation in church Saturday, 9:30-11 AM, at which time a service will be held in the Second Baptist Church of Carnegie. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
