Obituary of Patricia Ann McCreary
Patricia Ann McCreary (Vereb)
August 25, 1937 – October 5, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Patricia Ann McCreary of Scott Twp. on October 5, 2024, at the age of 87. Pat was born on August 25, 1937 to the late Stephen and Elizabeth Vereb. Beloved wife of the late William McCreary; loving mother of Kelly (Joseph) Chicchi, Colleen (Keith) Seiler and Darlene (Frank) Schrello; devoted Mema of Anthony (Carrie) Podobnik III, Billy (Danielle) Kuczinski, Ashley (Chris) Wallack, Jessica (Greg) Argenas and Christopher (Nicole) Kuczinski Sr.; loving great-Mema to Tyson, Natalie, Audrina, Charlotte, Christopher Jr., and Vincenzo. Bonus great-Mema to Faith and Serenity. Sister of James (Elizabeth) Vereb and the late Steven (Maureen) Vereb. Patricia is also survived by many beloved family and friends.
Known fondly as “The General” by her family, Patricia was the heart and soul of her household, the glue that held everyone together. Her love and loyalty to her family were unwavering, and her generosity knew no bounds. One of her proudest accomplishments was being a Mema, a great Mema, and a Mema to all of the fur babies in the family. She was everyone’s biggest fan. She left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her warm personality and infectious energy brought joy to everyone she encountered. Whether with family or a stranger, she was always quick to make a connection and left a lifetime impression on everyone.
An avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, Patricia’s passion for the game was matched only by her passion for life. She could always be found wearing black and gold, cheering loudly for her boys, and waiving her terrible towel at the tv. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends on adventures to thrift stores, the casino, and card club; making every outing full of laughter and memories.
Patricia will be missed by many, but her spirit, strength, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Now as it is time to say goodbye, we shall start the “Good-Bye Tour”.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Patricia’s life on Thursday, October 10th 2024 from 6-8 PM and Friday, October 11th, 2024 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the Warchol Funeral Home (3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville, PA 15017). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 12th 2024, at 11 am at Our Lady of Grace Church of St. Michael the Archangel Parish.
