Age 76, of Moon Twp., formerly of Collier Twp., passed away on September 27, 2024. Beloved wife of William R. Barns, loving mother of Patti (Joe) Colangelo and the late Timothy Barns, devoted grandmother of Domenic, Anthony and Vincent Colangelo, sister of Katherine (late Robert) Wilsher, Mary (James) Handerhan and the late Patricia Vorndran and the late Ronald Wilson. She is also survived by many cherished nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Jane worked in the healthcare profession her entire career. She began as Physical Therapy Aid at John J. Kane Hospital and an E.M.T for the Rennerdale V.F.D. She later became a Registered Nurse working in several facilities including UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital. Jane retired from the Allegheny County Health Department in 2006. In her retirement, she served as secretary and treasurer of W.J. Barns Inc., the engineering company she and her husband formed. Known affectionately by her grandsons and many as Nana, Jane loved being with her family and adored her three grandsons.
