William R. Godwin Obituary

Age 94, of Cecil, on September 4, 2024. Beloved husband of the late Grace L. (Moss) Godwin; loving father of Denise (Phillip) Hanna and Robert Godwin; brother of Sharyn (James) Ward and the late Harry “Ray” Godwin and Charles Godwin; cherished grandfather of Kadie (Ron) Tkach, Jacob Godwin, Lacey (Matt) McMillan, and the late Michael Godwin, and great grandfather of seven. William was a veteran of the Korean War, serving proudly in the U.S. Navy. He was a longtime member of Fawcett United Methodist Church. William was a member of the Chartiers Valley Beagle Club since 1974, and belonged to the Washington Bowling League, and the Claysville Golf Club. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, golfer and bowler.

Family and friends received on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Warchol Funeral Home Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville, PA 15017. A Funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 AM at Fawcett United Methodist Church. Everyone please meet at the church.
