Obituary of Joseph L. Sarasnick
Age 83, of Bridgeville, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2024. Husband of the late Sharon “Sis” Sarasnick, father of Jason (Janice) Sarasnick, grandfather of Elizabeth Sarasnick and Joshua Sarasnick, brother of Marilyn (Richard) McElhoes and James “Fireball” Sarasnick, also many nieces and nephews. Mr. Sarasnick proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was a lifelong resident of Bridgeville. He started his career working at the Bigi Bus Line Garage, while also working with his father at Joe’s Antiques in Bridgeville. He later became an electrician with Local #126, while still helping his family working at Sarasnick’s Hardware. In 1996, he took over the family business and worked full-time with his son Jason. He enjoyed interacting with his customers and serving people from Bridgeville with a smile on his face. Joe was an avid hunter, who loved hunting with his brother-in-law Rich and was a member of the Bridgeville American Legion, Post #54. He will be remembered as a good hearted, and generous man to all who knew him. Friends received Wednesday, August 21, from 6-8 pm and Thursday, August22, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, at the Warchol Funeral Home, Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333).
