Obituary of Beverly Ann (Terhorst) Schultz
A bright, beautiful and joyful wife, mother and loyal friend who spent her entire life bringing out the beauty in others and lighting up every room she walked into, Beverly Ann (Terhorst) Schultz passed away with her family by her side on August 6, 2024.
Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on April 19, 1960, Bev spent all 64 years of her life in nearby Scott Township. A natural beauty with a vivacious personality, her radiant smile could win anyone over. Bev attended Chartiers Valley High School where she first discovered her passion for hairstyling. Later she graduated from Parkway West Vocational Technical School with a degree in cosmetology.
At 13, Bev met the love of her life, Greg Schultz. The two were high school sweethearts and soulmates and spent 42 blissful years together. They brought two children into the world, Brittney and Matthew. Bev was incredibly proud of them both and never failed to show her children how much she loved them.
In 2005, she opened her own salon, “Bev’s Boutique,” in Carnegie, Pennsylvania, and became a beloved fixture in the community.
As a hairdresser, Bev was an empathetic and understanding ear for her clients, there to support them on some of the worst and best days of their lives. So many customers became longtime friends. When a client passed, she was there to pay tribute, sometimes even doing their hair for the funeral. She loved what she did, and continued doing hair until she became physically unable. Bev was the life of every party, and had the remarkable ability to turn even the most mundane gathering into a fun and memorable occasion. Some of her favorite pastimes included shopping, cooking, gardening and road trips, and she was always up for an adventure.
Though her two-and-a-half-year battle with cancer was a struggle, Bev never stopped smiling. Her happiness and joie de vivre were contagious. Her granddog, Tuna, brought her so much joy and comfort during this time, and Bev drew strength from the many people who loved and supported her. Bev is survived by her husband of four decades, Greg Schultz; her two children, Brittney (Seth Hunter) Schultz and Matthew Schultz; and sweet Tuna.
Preceding Bev in death was her Mother, Father and loving brother Jack Terhorst. Also, her dear friend and neighbor, Donnie Marsico, with whom she shared a special bond. Her family takes comfort in knowing that as she entered the pearly gates of heaven, Donnie and all her other loved ones who passed before were there to welcome her home.
Bev made everyone feel beautiful, loved and special. She cherished the memories of so many, and now it’s time for us to cherish this special woman and the legacy of laughter and light that she leaves behind. Family and friends received on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Warchol Funeral Home Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412.221.3333), where a service will be held on Saturday at 10:30 AM.
