My condolences to the Stewart family. I remember Mr. Stewart as one of the very few teachers who made this struggling high school student feel capable and encouraged to persevere. He made a difference in my life and helped get it back on track. For this I am forever grateful. His memory will always hold a place of highest esteem for me.

To Mike and Family
Your dad was such a great man. If I had to name one teacher who stood out in my schooling it would have been him. I remember standing at the chalk board without a clue how to solve the chemistry problem and he would say - "what do you have, where do you want to get to, now how do you get there". I have used that countless times in my life. Thank you coach. You will be truly missed.
My condolences to the family. Much love and prayers.

So sorry to hear of Mr. Stewart's passing. He was a tough teacher, but I learned so much from him. He was such a great colleague, mentor, and friend to my father. Our whole family has been influenced by Joe and Marlene. Condolences to all.

Family and Friends of David “Joe” Stewart,
May God comfort and support you in the time of your loss. Our prayers and thoughts are with you. Coach Stewart’s legacy on the field and in the classroom will live forever in the hearts of those lives he influenced, challenged and directed. It was a privilege for me to coach football with Coach Stewart as my mentor.
“Let not your heart be troubled; ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions. If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” John 14: 1 -3
May God Bless and Keep You,
Lou (Also, Susan & Bethany Slautterback)
