I moved to Pittsburgh from my hometown and didn’t make many friends. Decided to pick skateboarding back up and that’s when I met Mitch. We were in a group of about six and got to talking, before I knew it was just me and him back at his place talking for 4 whole interrupted hours about life, psychology, philosophy, religion you name it we talked about it, and in a manner that I felt I could be honest and give my full hearted opinion. Mitch had that effect you could just be open with him and feel accepted. The longer I got to know him the more I valued his personality, serious when he needed to be but also kind and goofy, always could get a chuckle out of me. He was passionate in everything that he did it wasn’t uncommon for him to take 3 straight hours to land a trick at the skatepark or 20 separate takes to nail a vocal track he was working on. We shared a sense work ethic and responsibility not just to ourselves but to others and our community. If I ever needed help in a pinch Mitch was there. If I ever needed just someone to talk to Mitch was there. He made a big impact on my life and I miss him everyday. If I could tell him anything right now I’d want him to know that he was loved and the one thing I regret is not spending more time with him.

Mitch was one of the most determined, driven , goal focused young men I ever met !!
He was tough, funny, smart and kind ! Training MMA and working security with him I got to know him and he was different than so many young men his age, I am more than 10 years older than Mitch and he makes me want to push myself to try harder and do better, he has that effect on you !
He was a warrior here and now he is training with the warrior Arch Angel Michael, he will be greatly missed !!

My son Christian and Mitch went to Pitt Johnstown together. I didn’t meet Mitch for a few years after college.. He stayed at my house several times and after everybody went to sleep we would stay up talking about the Lord and how much life meant. I can not even wrap my head around his death! He had so much to be proud of! My heart goes out to his family! I hope and pray he is at peace! Rest easy kiddo!

The two things that immediately come to mind when I think about Mitch are his commanding presence on the mats when we trained MMA, and his faith in Christ, which he would talk about whenever we had some down time. You had an impact on me both on the mats and off, and you will be missed.
Until we meet again,
Brian Adey

I always remember Fitzgerald as a happy, kind, and full of energy individual. It’s sad to see this but he will be missed. Here is a picture of him with the “dangerous Gucci purse”.

Mitchell was my closet cousin and I was so blessed to have call
Him that. He always wanted to bring a smile to everyone’s face and make you laugh. Endless memories as children carried into our young adult lives and he will forever be missed. I love you and keep us all safe down here.

Fitz was such a kind hearted and amazing individual. He was always there for anyone when they needed someone to talk to. I’ve had many conversations with him about the most random things and he even taught me things I never knew. He truly will be missed by everyone. My deepest condolences to his family.
