I would like to share the most memorable essence that I carry of my brother, Giuliano. I was six years old in 1955, when Giuliano, the oldest of the five siblings, along with my sister, Imola, joined dad to start a new life in the United States. The other three siblings remained in Acquaviva D’Isernia, Italy. My father kept the communication and bond with the family by sending letters, photos, and holiday gifts. After six years, the five siblings reunited in Pittsburgh, so I met my “now adult” sister and brother, Giuliano. Mother joined us a few years later.
Coming to my new home in Pittsburgh I learned that Giuliano owned his own bicycle. I was mesmerized and couldn’t wait to ride it. This is a vivid memory that I hold. As time went on I observed and appreciated how Giuliano guided us into the new culture. He sure enjoyed cars, and now those cars are classics. I witnessed how hard Giuliano worked, engaging himself with commitment and integrity as he explored different careers to achieve his “American dream,” even joining the U.S. Army to fulfill his participation as a proud citizen.
Giuliano had a tremendous and unwavering work ethic. He took care of his personal responsibilities diligently, and always made time to help neighbors, friends, and relatives. He was a man of few words but his passion and caring for the family and others endured throughout his life.
As adults, all of the siblings engaged in careers and dispersed to different states. Nevertheless, the support and bond for each other remained, and Giuliano was a central hub for all of us. This is a loss for the family and I am sorry for his absence. I will miss Giuliano and the chance to have a fish sandwich together.

I only met Mr. Petrocelli once, when he came to Houston to visit his son, Mark. My visit with him was brief, but he was very kind and courteous. I can see where Mark gets his good character from. Our deepest condolences on his passing.

Unfortunately I have no photos to share but I have countless memories from the family dinners on Sundays where he showed me how to put wine on cake, to riding with him on his Vespa, to him holding my ankles while I went off the roof we were building on Donna and Terry's house so I could reach a piece of siding. There are many, many more pictures such as these in my mind and soul that are locked away, waiting to be viewed at a moments notice until we meet again. I love you Pat. Always will.
