My Deepest Sympathy. Mike will be missed greatly here at Hanger 5. I was Mike's crew chief for many years and Mike was always my go to mechanic for problems I and other mechanics had. Mike was always willing to help with a cheerful heart and a vast knowledge about the aircraft. When Mike was on my crew, he made my job a lot easer. Mike knew the aircraft and paperwork when I handed him a stack of work cards on engine runs or gear swings. I knew nothing would get missed. I told Mike one time he would make a great crew chief, but then I thought for a second and told Mike, "Forget that Mike, you could never sit still long enough!" Mike was always on the go working on his assigned aircraft, then the next minute, he would be helping on another aircraft. That was Mike: always on the go. My brother and I have a camp in Kennerdell, so Mike and I often talked about the time he spent in Kennerdell. Mike was a great mechanic and a great guy you could truly call a friend.
