Obituary of Georgina "Gigi" Townsend

Townsend Georgina “Gigi” (Bongiorni) Age 98, of South Fayette Twp., on October 4, 2023. Beloved wife for over 70 years of the late John C. “Jack” Townsend, loving sister of the late Frank Bongiorni, Claya Svidunovich and Dan Bongiorni. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, many great nieces and nephews and many great - great nieces and nephews. Gigi was a lifetime member of Bethany Presbyterian Church, where she was a member of the Golden Oldies. She was an active member of South Fayette Senior Citizens and enjoyed baking. She was very good at clothing alterations and making Halloween costumes for her family. Friends received Sunday, Oct. 8, from 1 -4 pm, at the Warchol Funeral Home, Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333), where a service will be held Monday at 12 noon.
